A lista completa das nomeações para os próximos Billboard Music Awards de 2018 foi revelada na terça-feira (17 de abril) e, como esperado, os rappers são destaque entre os indicados.

Dos artistas de hip-hop,  Kendrick Lamar lidera o campo com 14 indicações, enquanto Post Malone não está muito atrás com 11. Drake e Cardi B também acumularam muitas indicações com nove e sete, respectivamente. Tanto Kendrick quanto Drizzy competirão na categoria “Melhor Artista” enquanto os dois compartilham uma indicação com Post Malone na categoria “Melhor Artista Masculino”

Enquanto muitos dos rappers que receberam indicações eram esperados, havia um indicado surpresa. Na categoria Top R & B Album, o projeto de estreia do XXXTentacion, “17″, ganhou destaque.
